Personal Revit productivity suite

LookTool

A focused add-in suite for practical BIM production work. Draftsman tools are now available in the same LookTool installer, alongside Excelink, Exmaster, Link tools, and Room tools.

Latest release Draftsman available

One suite, multiple focused tools

LookTool is structured as a growing module library. Public tools stay in one installer and update flow, while upcoming modules can be introduced early without overstating release status.

Draftsman tools for apartment documentation

Draftsman extends LookTool with a production workflow for apartment packages. It resolves units from source views, generates documentation views, prepares sheet layouts, and supports safer batch deployment with preflight review.

01

Resolve source views

Map source views and level tokens so each apartment package starts from the correct base documentation context.

02

Generate package views

Create apartment and bathroom documentation views with the configured templates, naming rules, and browser organization.

03

Prepare sheet layout

Place documentation views into the selected sheet layout so packages are structured consistently before issue.

04

Run with preflight

Review unit status before generation, skip invalid packages safely, and resume later with per-user run history.

PDF and CAD publishing

Exmaster is the export module inside LookTool. Its core value is simple: publish project packages from existing ViewSheetSets, with PDF and CAD outputs arranged into clean folders and consistent file naming.

01

Run one publish command

Start a full export without repeating the same manual PDF and CAD steps for every issue package.

02

Apply BIM naming rules

Reuse office standards for file naming, issue tokens, revision logic, and deliverable conventions.

03

Build the right folder structure

Output files into a consistent BIM-ready directory tree for internal teams, consultants, and submissions.

04

Repeat for every issue

Keep the export workflow inside the same LookTool suite so teams can issue faster with fewer naming mistakes.

Open and relink project sources faster

The Link tools module keeps source-file management inside Revit production work: open linked files directly in Explorer and relink selected items without a separate support workflow.

01

Openlink

Open Explorer and jump straight to the source file for selected CAD links, linked images, and linked PDF content.

02

Relink

Reload selected Revit and external links, or pick a replacement file when the stored source path is missing.

03

Work from selection

Run both tools from the current selection so coordination stays focused on the links you are reviewing.

Room tools for drawing cleanup

The Room module focuses on room documentation work: aligning room tags consistently and ordering room numbers so plans read cleanly before issue.

01

Align room tags

Line up room tags across selected rooms or views to reduce manual cleanup before publishing.

02

Order room numbers

Renumber rooms by a controlled order so room schedules and plans stay easier to review.

Grid cleanup for views and sheets

Bubble Offset cleans up grid graphics by offsetting straight grid bubble ends from crop boundaries, applying the selected line style, and working from either the active view or selected sheet viewports.

01

Set offset distance

Move straight grid bubble ends away from crop boundaries by the distance required for the current drawing standard.

02

Apply line style

Choose a crop line style in the same run, with the previous style remembered for the next cleanup pass.

03

Use active view

Run the command directly in the active view when cleaning the drawing currently on screen.

04

Use sheet viewports

Select viewports on a sheet and let the tool apply the same context-aware grid cleanup to those views.

Install LookTool
